Do I have to hire the restoration compnay which my insurance refers?

NO! It is your right legally to hire the restoration company of your choice.

Should I inform the insurance company of what I “think” caused the water loss or fire?

NO! Always have a professional restoration company or plumber explain what caused the loss.

Should I try to clean up after a water loss, myself?
